Being Your Mama by Emily B.
I love the new Basic Grey paper lines - the colors and patterns are really fresh, and the distressed look is so fun right now. For the layout "Being Your Mama" I used the Phresh & Phunky papers, mixing two different prints and a solid. I particularly like this set of papers because it worked so well to use a little pink while still keeping my layout "boy". It's a great combination of colors! The coordinating alphabet stickers are great too! I used them for my title and found them to be super easy to work with - they are thick and not prone to tearing. I also had no problem pulling them up to re-position as needed.

Mother's Day with Junkitz by Emily B.
The new Junkitz papers are just plain fun! There are so many to choose from - and I love the coordination of papers within each group. For the layout "Mother's Day" I used three different patterned papers from the Mom group and layered them to show bits of each pattern. These papers are great to work with, just slightly heavier than most patterned paper and so easy to use for putting together a coordinated layout.

My Gift by Sonda

This month for Mother’s Day I wanted to try something a little different… something simple. So, I chose the KI Memories My Life line. I really like how the papers mix and match so well. For this layout I machine stitched strips of the KI patterned paper to the top and bottom of the Bazzill cardstock for borders. To make the circle accents I attached patterned paper to some chipboard, sanded the edges, and then covered them in Diamond Glaze for a shiny effect. And for the title I used two different colors of paint on some handmade foam stamps for a shadow effect.

Let’s not forget…while all the supplies are out make a card or tag for someone close to you. I created this cute Birthday pocket tag by stitching two strips of pattern paper to the tag. Then I wrote my birthday message on the smaller tags, added some ribbon and tucked them inside the pockets.

More than Just My Mom by Mary H.
When I first started scrapbooking, if I wanted to do a layout about babies, I'd pull out a sheet of baby-themed paper with little baby buggies, bottles, or the words "It's a Girl" all over it. Then I'd grab some baby-themed stickers and a baby-themed template and ave at it. Scrapbooking has changed a lot since then and the Junkitz line is evidence of all those new changes.
Junkitz has developed a line of products for just about everyone. Mom, Dad, Cousins, Spring, and Home are just a few of the themes. And these themes are much different from those from scrapbooking years gone by.
The papers are distressed and antique looking. On my layout "More than Just My Mom" I paired two different patterned papers from the Mom line with the Expressionz rub-ons from the same line. The result is
a classy layout that fits my mom to a T.
I used the scraps for a simple Mother's Day card for my mother-in-law. The papers are so beautiful that no additional embellishments are necessary.

Call Me Mama by Mary H.
It's the paper I dream of at night. KI Memories has done it again. They've come out with another fun, colorful line that I must have every piece of! I'm doing my Book of Me in all KI Memories and the new line was perfect for the layout "Call Me Mama".

This layout discusses how much I love being called Mama by my two kids. It is a fun layout using lots of color and ribbons. I used three different patterns from the True Love Pieces of Me line. I used the leftovers from this layout on a Mother's Day card for my mom.

Miracle of Love by Peggy S.
Have I mentioned that I LOVE Basic Grey? Everything coordinates together so nicely and thanks to my classes at the Creating Keepsakes Convention this year, I learned that you can create beautiful layers and textures using nothing more than these papers and some distressing ink.
All patterned papers and tags in this layout are from the Basic Grey Lollipop Shoppe line. The cardstock is Bazzill, baby boy ribbon slide is from the All My Memories line, the heart brads are from Queen and Co., rub-on letters are Doodlebug Expressions (pink) and Making Memories (black Heidi font). The patterned papers and cardstock are inked using Tim Holtz Distress Ink in Peeled Paint.
I used Making Memories Philadelphia font foam stamps and Blueberry paint from the Sherbert collection to make the words “miracle of.” I made the photo corners using a square punch and trimming the squares corner to corner. The verse on the front of the mini album says “Before you were conceived, I wanted you. Before you were born, I loved you. Before you were an hour old, I would die for you. This is the miracle of love.“ Inside the mini album are three more photos from this photo shoot and pages for mom to journal personal notes to Dalton.
Other Layouts by Peggy:
This layout was also done using patterned papers and tags from the Basic Grey Lollipop Shoppe line and Tim Holtz Peeled Paint Distress Ink. I added some Lollipop Shoppe coordinating fibers and bazill cardstock to complete this layout of a friend’s baby shower.
Basic Grey does it again! The collections make it so easy to mix and match patterns. I thought the colors from the Phresh and Phunky line were perfect with these photos of a boy discovering the ocean. (Hidden journaling under the hinged photo mat talks about wishes that he always have joy in discovering new things) I added a quote and some seashells (attached with diamond glaze) to the precut tag, popped the letter "C" from the monogram letters up with foam tape to add some dimension, and added a silk flower with some Scrap arts sand sprinkled over it to give it a beach feel to the border.
