Each month our newsletter team tries out some of the most popular new products from the Tomorrow's Memories store. This month Chris D., Emelyn, Emily B., Jen K., Laura B., Mary, Peggy S. and Sonda share some ideas for pages you'll love!.

Aren't They Grand by Emelyn

The new Bo Bunny is line is perfect for quick pages filled with love.  The layout is made completely from Bo Bunny papers.  I love how the double sided cardstock is heavy enough to be used as a base sheet and the pattern is subtle enough not to overwhelm the layout.  I wanted to create a layout showing the love my parents have for my children…how they stayed with us when Jasmin was first born and how they are always there for us!  I also used the Bo Bunny cardstock stickers for coordinating embellishments.

After creating the layout, I wanted to use up the scraps to create a card. I will try to have this be my New Year's resolution to use up my scraps right there and then while I still have all the coordinating products out.  So…be on the look out for more cards from me in future newsletters!

The newsteam has just loved working with the new patterned papers from Carolee's Creations.

Love Story by Chris D.

I really enjoyed working with the Carolee's Creations Heartstrings paper. As you can see in this layout of my mom and her fiance,  I used the definition paper as a title accent as well as photomat/page blocker. I simply cut what I wanted to use and adhered them to some cardstock and voila, a simple and lovely layout.  Carolee's offers soft but rich colors and are beautiful to work with, and I can't wait to get my hands some more.

The Moment I Fell In Love by Laura B.

Ok, I'll admit it, this Carolee's paper inspired me to do something I had never done before - scrapbook a page about my husband. This photo of him holding our new puppy Zoey reminded me of the moment long time ago, soon after we started dating, when he told me about his dogs. And in that moment, I knew he was the one for me. I added Bazzill monochromatic ribbons and a rub on from Creative Imaginations to the journaling tag.

What I Love About My Girl by Peggy S.

When I saw this new line by Carolee's Creations, I knew the colors would be just perfect for these photos I took of my middle daughter while playing at the park one day. I used the green Bazzill as my background paper, enlarged my focal point photo to 5x7 and matted with 1/8 inch pink Bazzill, 5/8 border of the pink scratch dot paper by Carolee's, and 1/8 inch border of tan Bazzill.

I made a large tag around the “My Girl” cardstock sticker using the tan Bazzill with a thin border of dark brown and stamped the title with brown ink and secured it to the page with a large pink brad. I printed two other photos to fit behind the cardstock sticker frames and made a collage of the rest of the page using most of the remaining stickers form the sheet, some are matted in dark brown and some have the edges inked with the brown ink.

True Love by Peggy S.

The retro look the pink scratch dot paper from the Carolee's Creation helped pull together photos that span almost 20 years. I don't remember where I read the quote that I modified slightly for my title (“True Love is Not in the Falling But in Choosing to Stay"), but I do remember it stuck in my head. I thought it went perfectly with these photos of my husband and I when we were dating, when we first got married, and when we renewed our vows for our 15th anniversary in a ceremony that included all four of our children.

Also used in this layout are Bazill papers, Making Memories metal letters (spelling true at the top and choosing to stay at the bottom), rub on letters, charm (the word love at the top), ribbon, eyelets, and acrylic frame, Deluxe Cuts heart diecuts, and alphabet stickers from Sharon Soneff and Jeri Martin.

I Love My Cousin by Jen K.

This layout was made using the new Primary Stripes paper from Carolee's Creations and the new It Takes Two A Poem for A Page. The poems are clear stickers that are already for you to use, with all different cute fonts and graphics.

In this layout, I did not use the whole poem, but was able to cut the sticker in half. You could easily accent the graphics with markers or chalks to make them pop a little bit.

I just love the colors in the Primary Stripes paper, and as you can see, I was able to match it perfectly with coordinating Bazzil cardstock for my background, and mounting paper.

Snow Days
by Jen K.

In this layout I used the Carolee's Creations line again. This time I used the Let it Snow cardstock stickers, and two sheets of the Winter Blocked patterned paper. I cut the second sheet of paper in sections and used the stickers to get the effect of a matching block page, and mounted both pages on coordinating Bazzil paper.

I used black lettered buttons for my title, and tied them off with white fiber for a snow effect. I really like the new line from Carolee's Creations, check out all the different themed papers available!

A Daughter is Love by Sonda

I really liked working with the new Gin-X paper line She Wears Pink. They are so soft looking, already have that shabby look and the papers are cardstock weight. For my A Daughter is Love layout I used two of the patterned papers and one quote strip. Mixing and matching with other products helped me make my title. Gin-X has many color combinations...just pick a set and see where your creativity takes you.

And, don't forget!  Before you put all your supplies and paper scraps away, create a tag or other quick project (like a card or mini album).  Here I used some of the extras from my layout to create a tag for my daughter.  I think I'll attach it to her birthday present next month, Valentine's Day!

She Wears Pink by Mary H.

I used to hate the color pink.  It was just last year that I purchase the very first article of pink clothing that I've ever bought for myself.  Yet, ever since I had a little girl back in 2000, I find myself drawn to the color pink when I shop for her.  Then, I find myself buying pink paper so that I can use it for all the pink, girly layouts for Krissy.  And so, I have come to love the color pink.  Namely, pink patterned paper.  I'm drawn to it like Chocolate and the new Pretty in Pink line from Gin-X is no exception.

At first, I had to have it because of the name.  Use a brat-pack movie from the 80's as your inspiration for the product name and I'll buy it every time.  And then I opened the box of paper from Tomorrow's Memories and actually looked at the paper.  The paper is stunning.  Beautiful shades of pinks and grays make this line different than all the other pink patterned papers out there.

Not only are the colors different, but the patterns are also different .  There's the pink flowers of Andie's Prom Dress and the harlequin print of Crocodile Sweater.  I used these two patterns on the layout "Top Ten Reasons I Love having you for a daughter" that I did for Krissy.  The cardstock stickers added a fun touch to a simple layout.

When I started "Pappy Love" about the special bond that Krissy has with her Pappy, I waned something pretty enough for a layout about love and yet not overpoweringly girly.  Volcanic Ensemble worked perfectly.  I cut out the letter P from the Trax pattern and then used gray paint to stamp the rest of the work Pappy on The Record Store pattern.  Some pink ink for the word Love and to rough the layout up a bit added a little more of my little girl to the layout.  Since circles are so big right now, the pattern of Volcanic Ensemble was enough embellishment on its own..

Next, I sat down to do a layout about the love that Krissy has for her brother.  I used tore strips from the pieces I had left over from Volcanic Ensemble, Record Store, and Crocodile Sweater.  I loved the combination of the pattern papers on this layout and so I quickly stamped a title and typed out my journaling.

Lastly, I used the leftover Crocodile Sweater and Record Store paper to make a simple and yet effective card for my husband.  It'll be one of those cards for in his lunch box on 12-hour day.

I love patterned papers that are bold enough to be the only embellishment necessary on a layout and yet don't overpower the photos.  The patterns in the She Wears Pink line by Gin-X answer this call, just as a pink dress does on prom night.

A Special Love by Peggy S.

I am totally in love with the new Paper Loft papers. I used the geometric solid blue as my background paper and enlarged one of my favorite photos of my twins taken when they were just four weeks old and still a week before their due date. They slept together in one of those Fisher Price portable bassinets and were not happy unless they were touching each other.

I added some denim blue to the blanket using the Zig Photo Twins and blender pen, and matted with white Bazzill and the Geometric Blue Stripes from the Paper Loft collection. I printed the poem which I found on the Internet on white and matted with a piece of the solid blue that I cut from where my photo was going to be placed. I added this to the ribbon border made with some of the Frills Self Adhesive ribbon (I am now totally in love with this also and will be collecting ALL the colors) along with two mini charm plaques and a silk flower from Making Memories. My title was cut from white Bazzill and placed down the left border and across the bottom. I added the “Simply Adorable” fabric sticker from the Baby Boy Soft Spoken collection after placing two mini diaper pins along the left side

Poem text: When I gaze upon the lovely site of my twins arm in arm, asleep at nite my heart beats a special pace to see the innocent expression on their face. Peace, and love, and happiness. A special bond I call twinness. My two little angels, never apart. A sweetness that comes from one beating heart. Though someday independent and grown, I have the joy of knowing they will never be alone. By Jamie Keathly

MY FUNNY VALENTINE by Jen K.

This was a very simple and quick page. All you need to do, is make 8 different blocks in 2 different shades of pink. (4 small, 4 large) Then I used the Valentine's Day, Soft Spoken self adhesive embellishments, and centered them in each box. This page is quick, simple, and very clean. This layout makes a great opening page or ending page to any album. And with so many Soft Spoken choices, the possibilities are endless.

Emelyn and Mary H. just love the new page kits from Chatterbox and My Mind's Eye.

Celebrate Love by Emelyn

I am so in LOVE with the new Chatterbox kits!  They make creating layouts so easy!  Each kit comes with patterned papers and an assortment of embellishments including ribbons/fibers, tags, and rivets.  For this layout, I wanted to keep it simple and elegant to showcase a picture of my husband and me taken at a wedding.  I added the title in the blank area on the picture and used wooden letters in red that looked perfect with the patterned papers.  The hanging tag consists of our initials and is adorned with a simple charm.  I used fiber from the kit to embellish the border on the bottom to add a bit of dimension.

Page Kits by Mary H.

I love page kits!  Sure, some days, when I'm feeling creative, I get out the Mod Podge, Modeling Paste, and UTEE.  But on other days, I like the ability to sit down to do a layout when I'm feeling less than creative.  The page kits from My Mind's Eye in the Simply Shabby line allow me to do just that.

I had vowed that last year's Christmas photos would be scrapped by Thanksgiving.  I have to set myself a deadline for Christmas photos, because I hate scrapping them.  The day I pulled out the uninspiring photos, I wasn't in the mood to think too hard about the layout.  So I grabbed the Simply Shabby Christmas pack and went to work.  The page kits come with variety of punch outs (tags, a frame, a title, a border, and a quote) as well as coordinating paper.  I picked out some green cardstock that coordinated with the tags and went to work.  ½ an hour later I had a layout I was pleased with, complete with a mini book on the layout.  The real test came when I showed my mom.  When she felt the page to see if the accents were really 3-D, I was happy.

I even had enough items left over to make a Christmas card with part of the border and some of the red paper scraps.  The Simply Shabby line is realistic looking and easy to use.

The Squared Complete Line, also from My Mind's Eye, is another page kit-type product.  This kit comes with two sheets of background paper and ten smaller square accents.  The cool thing about these kits is the large letters that form one of the background pages.  The other is a coordinating patterned paper.  Both are cardstock weight.  When I first saw the kits, I had to have them.  After getting them home, I was stumped.  Sure the kit comes with a sample layout design, but how was I, an 8 ½ x 11 scrapper, going to make this work on my page?

The answer came in the form of this mini-book! (See left).  We spent a weekend camping and I had a ton of photos.  I didn't want four layouts about the one weekend and so I first cut the CAMP background paper into four squares.  I bound them together with some bookbinding tape and instantly had a mini-book, which holds ten photos.  I used the smaller squares as a title and accents for the layout and I was really pleased with the way the repetition of the square gave the layout continuity.  These kits would be also be terrific for anyone working on a 6 x 6 album.

The Way U R by Sonda

Have you ever been stuck trying to think of a title for your layout?  For some reason I just could not come up with one for this layout.  Then it hit me!!  I pulled out a sheet of Memories Complete cardstock stickers and incorporated one for my title.  How easy!!  For the words to describe my daughter and her likes, I used a small piece of a Narratives transparency at the bottom and some Making Memories paper tags along the side.  It's a great way  to say a lot without having to write a bunch of journaling.
