A Karen Foster Christmas by Peggy S.
I love transparencies! What a quick and easy way to dress up a layout! I also love the new Karen Foster line which offers several themes to choose from and they are a perfect fit as an overlay for the new KF printed papers.
One of my favorite techniques is to swipe a splash of color on the back of the transparency behind words or sections I want to highlight. I did this on my Christmas layout using a cranberry red acrylic paint behind the sections that say Merry Christmas and Seasons Greetings. I also painted my photo mats directly on my sheet of KF Green Words cardstock weight paper after marking the placement of my photos with a pencil. I then added my photos, and a few of the coordinating cardstock stickers from the Karen Foster line and presto… a quick and easy layout that showcases my children's Christmas photos nicely!
I use transparencies often and have had people ask me “how do you adhere them to your page?” That is one of the joys of transparencies… i f you use them as a whole sheet, you simply slide them in your page protector with your page and the page protector holds them in place... no adhesive required. If adhering photos or embellishments on top of the transparency, I have found glue dots work best. such an easy way to add color!
All of the black lettering on this layout, was done
with the new Doodlebug Expressions rub-ons. These come in three different sizes and make it so easy to add
a title, and subtitles, too! Give them a try... I'm sure you'll love them too!

Creek Bank Creations Office Werks by Emily B.
I love the office supply trends in scrapping; and really love the new fun products we are seeing as a consequence. Creek Bank Creations has a variety of cute, useable office supply styled products to use on your pages. And the best part is that they are made from Bazzill Monochromatic Cardstock so the colors are perfect!
The Office Werks line includes bookplates, mini file booklets, envelope files, mini file folders, and library file pockets. On the layout, Henry 6 months, I used an envelope file in blue. Because the Office Werks products are made from Bazzill cardstock, I was easily able to match up cardstock to use for my photo mats.
The other project I made using Office Werks products is a little photo holder. I used the Library File Pocket for my
project. I took each of the three file folders and stamped the first initial of each of my kids' names on the front in a large font. Then I stamped their full names on the tab section of the file folders.
Inside each file folder, I adhered a picture of each child in his Halloween costume, and then added a few notes about what the costume was, and how they enjoyed or acted during Halloween this year. I then inserted all three file folders inside the library pocket and folded the top over to enclose them like an envelope.
I added some Frills self adhesive ribbon, a button, and some temporary adhesive to hold the envelope closed and now I have a cute little photo holder of my kids. I thought this was a fun project and hope it gives you some ideas for making special cards or photo holders.

Bazzill Monochromatic Ribbons by Emily B.
I love the new Bazzill Monochromatic Ribbons and with how much ribbon I'm using these days they quickly have become a must-have for me! Each ribbon card contains one yard each of six different ribbons and they coordinate perfectly with our favorite monochromatic cardstock. The ribbons look great mixed and matched, layered, tied in bows or knots or used as a border on your page - ribbon is hot - so have fun with it!
In the layout "My Tiger" I used tons of green and orange gingham ribbons tied on to the side of my photo mat - I love this effect and loved how easy it was to find the perfect colors with the Bazzill Monochromatic Ribbons!

Baby Matthew by Laura B.
When I saw the new Bazzill Monochromatic Ribbons I knew they would be perfect for a baby album I'm working on. Like Emily, I knotted them down the side of the "brag book" that I'm incorporating on the title page. The colors are just perfect!

FiberScraps E-Z Walnut Ink Tintz by Emily B.
Last month I wrote about the FiberScraps E-Z Walnut Ink and how much I loved it. Well I can now say the colors are just as great! They are super easy to use with no mess, no mixing, and no spray bottles, and they come in seven great colors! On my "Merry" tag I used the Moss Tintz to color some manila-colored cardstock for a great holiday-themed tag. The Tintz work great for coloring tags, library pockets, cards, twill tape, lighter colored patterned paper, and just about anything else you might have in your stash. Be creative, these have a ton of great uses!

Soccer Soccer by Laura B.

I'm always on the look out for new soccer paper and imagine my excitement when two of my favorite companies - Doodlebug and Karen Foster - released new sports lines! I was just giddy with excitement.
I've been working on an 8x8 album of my son's Fall Season and theses new papers fit the bill perfectly. I love the bright colors and fun words on Doodlebug's "Soccer Talk" paper. By trimming strategically there's no need to even add a title. The "Key Lime Dotted Line" paper kicks it up an extra notch for fun pages.

Karen Foster's line is slightly more subdued but again combines words and definitions to create interesting background papers. Here I used the "Soccer Ball Definition" and the "Soccer Ball Collage" as the background for some recent tournament photos.
