Site News .....

The store was closed for a couple of weeks while Kelly recovered from surgery. We are pleased to report that she's on the mend, the store is back open with lots of great new items in the shopping section. Happy Shopping!

Note from Kelly: It has been a tough month here for myself and my family.

We did re-open for a short time and had an emergency closing due to my mother having a heart attack. After her being transferred to 3 hospitals, having surgery, and another trip to the ER yesterday because of chest pain, (after being released the day before) she is home today and we will be going to the family Dr. later today for a follow up just to be sure all is ok with her. Thank you all for your well wishes, it is greatly appreciated.  We will re-open on Monday the 4th.

Each month our newsletter team tries out some of the most popular products from the Tomorrow's Memories store. This month Jen K., Emelyn M., Mary H., Emily B., and Laura B. have been very busy creating layouts for our biggest newsletter yet! We hope these Summer-into-Fall pages with a special Christmas preview inspire you to get scrapping!

Fun at the Beach by Jen K.

In this layout, I used the new cardstock stickers from Scissor Sisters. I really like the look of these new stickers, and they were super easy to work with. To give them an extra punch, I mounted them on coordinating pieces of cardstock. I even customized them by using Making Memories Simply Stated rub-on letters for my journaling. The Heidi font matched perfectly with this look. Not only are these stickers perfect for scrapbooking, but they would be great for cardmaking too. Each sheet is reasonably priced, and comes with plenty of stickers to do at least a 2 page spread or several cards. (Editor's Note: Check out the clearance section for a real deal on these stickers!)

Fun on the Fourth by Emelyn M.

I love the new Karen Foster Water Sports collection! The bright colors captured the summer water theme so well. It was also a plus that my son's swimming vest matches the colors of the collection! I have so many pictures of my family swimming this year, that I wanted a collection that was already coordinated. This made the layout go together so well and fast! The different colors and shapes of letter stickers created a fun title. To include a bit of texture I added twill ribbon and fiber at a fun angle. I also added a Dot Talk button from Creative Imaginations to give some dimension and finish off the layout!

Monterey Bay Aquarium by Emelyn M.

I LOVE the new SEI that is available.  The patterned paper is soo fun!  The matching stickers make everything come together easily.  For this layout I used the Beatnik Boy SEI papers with the KI Memories papers and it was a great combo!  The color scheme totally matched as if it was part of the same line.  Then as a bonus, I used the new Scrapworks Color Rubz!  These new rub ons are AMAZING!  I loved the colors and applying them to the page was soo easy!  I finished off the page by inking the edges and adding a strip of bubble ribbon.

Thinking of Fall with Bazzill and SEI by Emily B.

The Bazzill "Places We Love" Cardstock collections are just gorgeous!  Each group features five colors reminiscent of the colors one might be reminded of when thinking of a given place.....Scottsdale, Outer Banks, Heartland, Florida Keys, Louisiana Bayou, Pacific Northwest, Yellowstone, Golden Gate, Martha's Vineyard, and Pennsylvania Dutch. Think of these new Bazzill colors individually or utilize the groupings to help you coordinate beautiful layouts.

In the layout Fall Bliss, I used three colors from the Yellowstone collection (Pine, Rawhide, Yellowstone) to create a very fall themed layout with a warm feel.  The other collection I used in my layouts was the Scottsdale group.  For that group I wanted to show how versatile one group could be when you isolate just a portion of one group for a layout.

The layouts "Pumpkins Everywhere" and "5 days" were both done with the Scottsdale group and in fact both use the same green - Salsa Verde.  For "Pumpkins Everywhere" I wanted a very rustic fall look so I inked everything and I paired the Salsa Verde with Copper and added very textured rustic embellishments.

For "5 days" I wanted a much softer elegant look, so I paired the Salsa Verde with the Travertine and Saddle colors; and then added in some printed paper and ribbon to achieve the look I wanted.  These new collections are sure to become old favorites fast - the cardstock is a beautiful weight, has a great texture, and the colors are fantastic!

SEI Seasoned Collection by Emily B.

The new SEI collection, "Seasoned" is the perfect color palette for fall layouts.  The colors will go great with your photos of back to school, playing in the park, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and so much more.  In the layout "The Park" I used the Paprika solids as the base of my layout, adding in the Spicey stripes as my accent.  I matted my focal photos in Cream of Tartar and Nutmeg; and used a tag from the Seasoned Tag Sheet for my title.  The tag sheet is a great value - it has 18 tags in a variety of colors and prints to mix, match, and layer on to your layouts.  In the layout "Fall Wagon Ride", I used the Nutmeg Solid as the base of my layouts and chose the All Spice stripes for my border.  Again on this layout, I used a tag from the tag sheet to hold my title - I loved how there was a coordinating tag to my stripes.  In this layout I used the Blue Sage solid to mat the photos because I wanted to highlight the denim hat my younger son is wearing in the photos.  SEI paper works great for pictures with lots of different colors in them; you can really unify the look of the layout by choosing mats and tags that highlight the colors you want to stand out.  The SEI seasoned collection includes 7 solid papers, 7 print papers, and a tag sheet.

Celebrating 60 by Emelyn M.

I love the Sweetie papers..another set from SEI that totally matches the Scrapworks Rubz.  For the conchos, I dabbed a little bit of ink to alter my otherwise white concho.  We had to stay in the pink for this layout! .

KI Memories Fan Club by Emelyn

If KI Memories were to have a fan club, I would be the president! In every newsletter I seem to have at least 1 KI Memories layout. It's no wonder since I am soo in love with their products. This new collection is no different! The bright colors and the new die cuts are just amazing! With the same color palette as the previous lines, new and older products could be mixed and matched. There are endless possibilities for these papers and products. So believe me when I say...this is not the end of my KI layouts...just wait until next month!!  hee-hee!!

Baby Henry by Emily B.

ScrapWorks rub on letters are here in COLOR and they are fabulous!  These rub ons are super easy to use and rub on smoothly with very opaque coverage.  In the layout "Baby Henry" I matched up the lighter blue rub ons with my cardstock and doodlebug paper for an easy color coordinated title.  Color Rubz are sold with cute storage tins to keep them neat and organized!  Each tin contains 2 fonts, each in a different color and there are 7 different tins available.

Scrappy Cat by Laura B.

I am definitely a "dog" person, but I have to say that I love these new products from Scrappy Cat Creations. I love the bright colors, the versatility, the coordinating tags and alphabet stickers, and that my finished pages look like I've worked really hard on them! The papers and stickers look like they've been inked, painted, stamped and glittered and my hands have remained clean. Definitely give them a try!

In the layout "Amy," I've used the Blue Mountain paper and coordinating alphabet.

In "Family by Amy" I used paper and tags from the Timeless line. The colors work perfectly with the colors she used in our family portrait.

Bubba Hates Water by Mary H.

When I saw the SEI Granny's Kitchen line, I knew why they called it "Granny's Kitchen". It has that warm, homey feeling to it. It isn't the retro of Beatnik Boy and it isn't the geometry of the older lines like Scenery. This line has everything that I love in patterned paper. Large patterns and small patterns and neither one will overshadow your photos. I combined three of the patterns on the "Bubba Hates Water" page. The patterns combined with a sketch from the Creating Keepsakes Sketches book made quick work of putting the layout together. And the new Frills self-adhesive ribbon combined perfectly with the tags from the Granny's kitchen line. The tags are wonderful to use. They punch right out with none of those little punchout remnants that I usually have to cut off. This layout was so simple, it nearly put itself together and yet I'm really happy with the way it turned out. The SEI paper made it easy.

In Search of the Perfect Christmas Tree... by Jen K.

In this layout, I used the new pre-made color blocking completes from Deluxe Cuts. These new pages are so fast and easy. Everything is done for you, all you have to do is add your photos, letter stickers, and journaling.  It couldn't be easier. Since my albums are not true 12x12, I found that I had to either trim the pages or cut the color blocking sheets apart and rearrange them on a new piece of card stock that would fit my album perfectly. Which is what I did for this particular layout. Even with cutting and pasting, it was still a quick and easy layout. All the guess work is already done for you. You can even customize the layout if you want by adding real embellishments over the printed ones, to give it more of a homemade look.
