Facades Line with Emelyn

I recently went on a 10 day vacation. You could probably guess that I came home with a ton of pictures! My goal was to finish the album before I showed anyone pictures from the vacation. The solution...quick and easy pages! The Facades line from Far and Away was perfect! They had coordinating papers and stickers that took the guess work out of matching.

For the San Diego harbor layout, I added Monochromatic and Chatterbox Bazzill cardstock, Shotz letter stickers and a few brads to complete the layout. With the embellished look of the Facades stickers, my 30 minute layout looks as if I spent hours on it!

For the Strolling Along the Harbor layout, I used the Facades patterned paper as my base adding Monochromatic Bazzill as a photo mat. I added Pebbles Real Life stickers that matched perfectly! The titles were created with Making Memories rub ons

Artistic Expressions with Sonda T.

The beach has always been one of my favorite vacation spots. I could watch the waves for hours. For this layout, I used acrylic paint and brushed it all over the Bazzill cardstock background with a fan brush. For the title, I cut up a transparency made by Artistic Expressions then attached it with eyelets on the left side. The transparency sheet can either be used as a whole or cut up and placed on your layout. I also used some Making Memories Word Fetti Stickers, Creative Imaginations phrase stickers, a poemstone and a seashell wax seal in various locations.

Sand, Seashells and Seagulls

For this layout I used another piece of the Artistic Expressions beach transparency. Instead of using the bottom corner of it as a whole, I cut the words into strips and attached them to my layout using eyelets. Placing the words over a stencil brushed with acrylic paint created my title. There's also a beach/ocean picture underneath the stencil letter "S". Before adhering any of my papers, I rubbed some brown ink all around the edges to give it an aged look. Word stickers were placed throughout my layout and I added some sea glass for texture along the bottom of the focal photo font (Henry), silver mini brads.

Doodlebug Designs with Mary H.

Doodlebug Designs has done it again! They've given us a collection that is colorful and fun and great to work with. And because the colors and patterns all mesh together, the multiple patterns work well on the same layout.

On the layout Lazy Days, I used a green color scheme with multiple Doodlebug patterns. The layout came together easily due to the friendliness of the patterns. Monochromatic layouts are a snap because the different Doodlebug patterns all feature different shades of the same general color!

Color the world with Love was SUCH a fun layout. I love the bright colors and I was able to use so many different colors in the same layout due to the consistency of the patterns. After working with this line, I'd have to say that Doodlebug Designs paper is both fun and easy to work with!

Doodlebug Boys will be Boys Collection with Emily B.

The paper and stickers from this collection are perfect for any of your little guy photos.  There are several papers to choose from and they all mix and match great; especially when combined with the coordinating cardstock stickers and alphabet stickers.  In the layout "All Boy" I used the cardstock stickers for my title and for accents under the photos.

Art Warehouse with Laura B.

Lately I've been trying to challenge myself to try new things. These Art Warehouse papers didn't immediately jump out at me because they're a little more "pastel" than I would normally choose. I decided to stretch my imagination and was pleasantly surprised at how fun they were to use.

In Sparkle I added some ink to the paper to make the Making Memories Summer rub ons show up. The bluish cast in the photos from the Counting Crows concert works perfectly with the blues and greens in the paper. Some brads and photo corners add accents to the otherwise flat page. "Quote..UnQuote" with Mary H.

Quote Unquote is a fun new book of quotes by the folks at Autumn Leaves.  It is much different from the idea books that are released so frequently in the scrappin' world.  This book has quotes -- lots and lots of quotes.  And the best part is, the quotes are printed in a graphically pleasing format so that they can be copied onto vellum or cardstock and used directly on a page.  Of course the quotes can also be typed and printed out using  your computer or you can also do as I did on "I Love this Man" and handwrite the quote.

I loved the variety of quotes in this book -- there are sentimental quotes and funny quotes.  There are quotes from writers from many different genres.  I love having a book with a quote from Erma Bombeck a few pages away from a quote from the Bible.

In finishing this layout, I wanted something to sum up the way that I feel about my husband and the way that he feels about me.  These photos were taken after my grandma's funeral when he and I were playing catch to unwind after a very trying week.  The quote from Maya Angelou "In all the world there is no heart for me like yours.  In all the world there is no love for you like mine"  really spoke to me and made this layout so special that I felt it needed no other embellishments.

Karen Foster Sports and Patriotic Collections with Emily B.

I always look forward to Karen Foster's new collections - they are so useable, and make putting coordinated pages together so easy.  In the layout "Baseball", I used 2 papers from the sports collection as well as the coordinating alphabet stickers and decorative stickers to put together a quick and easy layout of my boys playing T ball in the backyard.  In the layout "Flags" I used 3 of the papers from the Patriotic collection and the coordinating alphabet stickers to scrap pictures of my boys playing with their 4th of July flags.  The new Karen Foster collections have papers and coordinating cardstock stickers for lots of great themed layouts including basketball, baseball, soccer, fishing, water, and water sports.

KI Memories with Emelyn

This was such a fun layout!! I love the KI papers...they coordinate so well together! Combining these Icicles, patterned papers and die cuts with a sketch by Amy Howe allowed me complete the layout in 30 minutes! It was such a bonus that the Making Memories Woven labels and ribbons matched perfectly!  I also used the Making Memories rub ons for the quote on the "Sunshine" layout.

Creative Imaginations Metallic Stickers with Emily B.

Creative Imaginations metallic stickers are so versatile and useable for scrapbook pages and cards.  In my card "Love" I matted one of the metallic stickers on black cardstock, then attached it to a gingham ribbon decorated card with a mini brad.  This was a quick and easy card and with a total of 42 stickers on a sheet, I have lots left to make more cards or to use on pages.
